The Cliff: a booking-enquiry site for an adventure resort that sells over WhatsApp
The situation
The Cliff is an adventure resort in Kushma, Parbat, with a bookings office in Pokhara. It runs the world's second-highest bungy and the world's highest swing, plus a sky cycle, a sky cafe and cottages and villas to stay in. Its visitors are largely international, researching on a phone from another country before they ever reach the district.
What made it hard
The business does not close sales through a checkout. Enquiries arrive by WhatsApp, email and phone, and a booking is confirmed by a person. So the site's job is not to take payment, it is to answer every question that stands between a curious visitor and a message: what it costs, what it involves, whether it is safe, and what happens when you arrive. That is a lot of content — adventures, resort, rates, team, FAQs, before you book, offers, team building, school expeditions — and all of it has to stay navigable on a phone.
My part in it
Design and build, at Source Taggers, with the team. Source Taggers carries the client relationship and the site credit; the resort owns its rates and its content.
What I built, and why
Rates published, not hidden
A dedicated rates page with per-activity and per-package pricing, kept editable by the resort rather than hard-coded. Publishing the price up front costs some enquiries and saves the ones that were never going to convert, which is the trade the business wanted.
Every path ends in one action
Book Now hands off to WhatsApp, with email and both phone numbers alongside it, because that is where the resort actually answers. The site does not pretend to be a booking engine.
A large site kept navigable
Adventures, resort, rates, spirit, team, FAQs, blog, gallery, careers, offers, before you book, team building, school expeditions. Laravel on the back end, with the structure and the navigation designed so a first-time visitor on a phone can still find the two pages they came for.
